So in this video I start with the questions: \u201cWhy do we keep buying guitar pedals?\u201d; and \u201cWhy do we keep buying gear?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"STUDY GUITAR AT BERKLEE ONLINE  (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/online.berklee.edu\/guitar?campaign_id=7010Z000001ZkQgQAK&amp;pid=&amp;utm_source=takenote&amp;utm_medium=blog&amp;utm_campaign=bol-gen-takenote-article-link\" target=\"_blank\"><em><strong>STUDY GUITAR AT BERKLEE ONLINE <\/strong><\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\u2019ve had some time to think about it and in this video I\u2019m just going to give you the lay of the land of the types of guitar pedals that I have purchased over the past few years, as well as share some anecdotes surrounding those purchases. Perhaps through all of this searching I will shed some light on guitar pedals that you might like to try out.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But perhaps the most obvious answer to these questions\u2014why do we keep buying gear and amps, or finding new pedals and even new guitars?\u2014is that it\u2019s fun! It\u2019s inspiring and it\u2019s a way for us as musicians to continually want to pick up the instrument and continually work on it.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In fact, in the time since I first made this video, I\u2019ve even sold some of the guitar pedals that I showcased here in favor of new ones! And in turn I\u2019ve continued to work on my craft.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The more you learn about the guitar, or the drum set, or the keys, or whatever it is that you play, the more fun it is to do so.
