Highlighting issues that songwriters and performers face, the report also gives suggestions for fixing these industry-wide problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The report is gaining traction quickly across the industry, being featured on <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/therecord\/2015\/07\/14\/422707429\/is-transparency-the-music-industrys-next-battle\" target=\"_blank\">NPR Music<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-07-14\/can-bitcoin-shine-a-light-into-streaming-music-s-money-traps-\" target=\"_blank\">Bloomberg<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/business\/6627386\/what-a-mess-new-report-from-berklee-college-of-music-looks-to-fix-an-aging\" target=\"_blank\">Billboard<\/a>, and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\" (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/technology\/2015\/jul\/14\/bitcoin-blockchain-streaming-music-payment-rows?CMP=share_btn_tw\" target=\"_blank\">The Guardian<\/a>. It&nbsp;was spearheaded by Berklee associate professor <a href=\"http:\/\/online.berklee.edu\/faculty\/allen-bargfrede?campaign_id=7010Z000001ZkQgQAK&amp;pid=&amp;utm_source=takenote&amp;utm_medium=blog&amp;utm_campaign=bol-gen-takenote-link-from-article\">Allen Bargfrede<\/a>.
