How to Clear Cookies in Chrome

Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device by websites you visit. They serve various purposes, such as storing your login state, enabling smoother navigation, and personalizing your online experience. However, it may sometimes be necessary to clear your cookies due to a variety of reasons, such as privacy issues or fixing site functionality issues.

Note

Clearing all of your cookies will log you out of any websites you are currently logged into.

 

To clear your cookies from Google Chrome, please take the following steps:

Computer

  1. Click on the three-dotted icon at the top right of Chrome.
  2. Mouse over More Tools, which will reveal more menu items.
  3. Click Clear Browsing Data.
  4. Ensure you are looking at the Basic view by making sure Basic is highlighted in blue.
  5. Set the Time Range to All Time.
  6. Make sure that only the second checkbox (Cookies and other site data) is selected.
  7. Click the blue Clear Data button.
  8. Quit and reopen Chrome.
 
 

Mobile Device

  1. Tap the three-dotted icon at the bottom right of Chrome.
  2. Select History.
  3. Select Clear Browsing Data at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Set the Time Range to All Time.
  5. Make sure that only the second item (Cookies and other site data) is checked.
  6. Select Clear Browsing Data at the bottom of the screen.
  7. Quit and reopen Chrome.
