Larry Baione

Larry Baione is the former chair of the Guitar department at Berklee College of Music, where he has been a faculty member since 1974 and served as chair from 1990 to 2018. He studied with notable guitarists including Mick Goodrick and Jim Hall. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Berklee and a master’s from New England Conservatory. In 1996, he toured South America as a Jazz Ambassador for the State Department. For Berklee Online, he teaches several levels of private guitar lessons for the Guitar Performance degree, as well as Guitar Scales 101, which he wrote.
