Jack Freeman

Jack Freeman has taught film music editing, composition, and history at Berklee College of Music since 1991. He has extensive experience in film and video production across network broadcast, cable, and community television, and has composed original music for documentaries, industrial films, and experimental video. A native of Saskatchewan, Canada, Freeman holds degrees from the University of Regina and Berklee College of Music, where he studied film scoring. He remains active as a trombonist and pianist in the Boston area and supports local nonprofits with video production. For Berklee Online, he teaches Film Scoring 101 and History of Film Music, which he also authored.
