Josh Ritter’s ninth studio album, “Gathering” is out on the Pytheas label on Sept. 22, 2017.  His latest single is called “When Will I Be Changed,” a title which is emblematic of not only the new sound that Ritter finds on “Gathering,” but also of his varied approach to the art he sends out to the world. Ritter is also an accomplished novelist and painter.

George Clinton arguably invented funk. Having spent the past six decades writing, recording, and revolutionizing music with his bands Parliament and Funkadelic, Clinton has produced more than 40 hit singles. His songs have been sampled more than 2,000 times, making him one of the most sampled artists of all-time. His recent collaborations with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar prove that his influence has no expiration date.

Gerhard Behles co-founded the music software company Ableton in 1999 with Robert Henke and Bernd Roggendorf. Behles is currently the CEO of Ableton, and he is keen to point out that this position is his “first real job.” “I also intend for it to be my last job,” he recently told an interviewer.

Tim Quirk, Founder and CEO of Freeform, has spent the past 15 years helping build groundbreaking digital music services. He was part of the initial team at listen.com that launched Rhapsody, the first on-demand music subscription service, in 2001, and was most recently Head of Global Content Programming for Google Play. He spent much of the ’80s and ’90s as the singer and lyricist for Too Much Joy.

Ryan Leslie is a producer, songwriter, performer, and businessman who first emerged on the hip-hop scene in 2003, shortly after graduating from Harvard. He has written songs performed by the likes of Ne-Yo, Fabolous, and Cassie, and produced songs for Britney Spears, LL Cool J, Mary J. Blige, and more. His latest venture is SuperPhone.

Zoë Keating is a cellist and composer, but it’s more accurate to refer to her as a one-woman orchestra. For more than a decade she has used technology to sample and layer her playing into intricate soundscapes for her soundtrack work and three solo albums, which have several times reached number one on the iTunes classical chart. Zoë has played and recorded with Imogen Heap, Amanda Palmer, Tears for Fears, DJ Shadow, and more.
