(Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts)
The Department of Defense (DoD) Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (MyCAA) program is open to all eligible spouses. Please visit https://mycaa.militaryonesource.mil/mycaa for more information.
MyCAA provides a maximum education benefit of $4,000 with an annual fiscal cap of $2,000. The MyCAA Scholarship pays tuition costs for education and training courses and examinations leading to an associate degree (excluding associate degrees in General Studies, Liberal Arts, and Interdisciplinary Studies that do not have a concentration). The scholarship also covers the costs for obtaining a license, certificate, or certification at an accredited college, university, or technical school in the United States or approved testing organization that expands employment or portable career opportunities for military spouses. Please note that this benefit does not cover bachelor's degree programs.
A military spouse can request MyCAA Financial Assistance (FA) for all approved courses on the spouse's Career and Training Plan. Eligible spouses can establish a MyCAA Account by visiting the MyCAA website at https://mycaa.militaryonesource.mil/mycaa. Note that students must choose Berklee College of Music when completing their request for tuition assistance. The tuition amount on the application should reflect the applicable military discount.
After applying for and receiving approval for tuition assistance, certificate program students should complete the following steps:
- Enroll in a Certificate Program Enroll in your chosen certificate program by clicking the "Enroll" button on the respective certificate program description page. Complete enrollment by paying the registration and technology fee. If you are already enrolled in the program, be sure your schedule reflects which courses you wish to take in the upcoming term.
- Submit Approved Voucher All forms can be sent via fax to 617-747-2149 (Attn: Finance), via email to firstname.lastname@example.org, or via mail to the following address:

- Verification of Paperwork Tuition assistance forms must be received by the end of the enrollment period of the upcoming term. After reviewing the forms submitted, if approved, the amount MyCAA is paying will be applied to the tuition due as well as the military discount. An email will be sent to you once both have been applied which will include the amount of remaining balance due. You will be responsible for any approved amount that is not paid by MyCAA.
