You’ll choose four courses and dive deep into genres like blues and rock, where you’ll master Texas and Chicago styles and New Orleans piano grooves. Or find your groove with Latin rhythms, learning the essential phrasing and solo skills of Cuban and Brazilian traditions. If you prefer the freedom of jazz you’ll be able to explore several options here, including improvisation techniques from masters like Thelonious Monk and Bill Evans (as well as course author/jazz legend Gary Burton). No matter your path, you’ll connect with the sounds and techniques that make each style iconic—and uniquely yours.
