School Info, Enrollment & Policies
At this time, students cannot use federal financial aid towards Berklee Online individual courses or certificate programs. They can, however, use private educational loans. Berklee Online does not recommend one specific lender; it is your responsibility to compare loan options and determine which loan will best fit your needs. Each lender’s loan programs may have different requirements. Be sure to check with your lender regarding the loan programs you qualify for that best suit your needs.
Amount to Borrow
Students may borrow private loans to cover their entire cost of their certificate program. To keep your debt load as low as possible, you should only borrow what you need.
When comparing loan programs please keep in mind the following:
- While Berklee Online is a division of Berklee College of Music, Berklee Online certificate programs are not Title IV approved. Any loan that requires the program you are pursuing to be Title IV approved cannot be used to pay for a certificate program.
- Many loans require a student to be pursuing a degree and some may require you to be enrolled at a specific enrollment level (part time/full time).
To expedite the process of applying and receiving a loan, students are strongly encouraged to contact the Berklee Online Registrar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure loan suitability.
