Cap and Gown Pickup

 10:00am-1:00pm   |     7 Haviland Street Courtyard

Cap and gown pickup will take place Friday, May 6 from 10 AM–1 PM ET, on the Berklee campus. A cap and gown has been ordered on your behalf, based on the information you provided on your Graduation Application. We ask that you arrive to pick up your cap and gown during the time slot below that corresponds to your last name. 

10–11 AM, Last names A–F 

11 AM–Noon, Last names G–P 

Noon–1 PM, Last names Q–Z


Berklee College of Music Commencement Concert

 7:30 p.m.   |     Agganis Arena

The concert will also be livestreamed. Click here to watch.

All attendees must follow the venue's COVID protocols (protocols are established by Agganis Arena, not by Berklee).

The commencement concert will feature a global cast of vocalists, instrumentalists (including a full rhythm section, percussionists, horns, winds, and strings), dancers, arrangers, and track producers from the graduating class. They will pay tribute to the 2022 honorees’ body of work.

Graduating students will receive four guest tickets and their own ticket for the concert.

Ticket Information


Tickets are required for Berklee College of Music's 2022 in-person commencement concert and in-person commencement ceremony. Graduating students will receive tickets to both events for themselves and four guests. Graduating students have received their tickets electronically.

To have a lawn sign professionally printed:

  • Contact a local or online printer/vendor.
  • Share the following information with your printer/vendor:
    • 24” x 18” lawn sign
    • Two-sided format: 24” x 18” printed one sides with full bleeds
    • Two stakes for each sign
    • Stock: we suggest Coroplast or corrugated plastic
    • Ink: high-quality digital color printing, full bleeds
    • Upload/attach the version of the sign you wish to print (including graduate’s name if selecting the personalized sign).

Berklee plans to have in person ceremonies this year, but will continue to monitor developments in the COVID-19 pandemic. Plans for our May 2022 Commencement remain subject to change based on developments locally, nationally, and internationally. Commencement FAQs

When is the RSVP deadline, and what if I change my mind about participating?

In order to participate in Commencement 2022 you should submit a graduation application no later than December 1, 2021. If you would like to make any adjustments to your original RSVP you may contact us at graduation@online.berklee.edu. Please note that we may only allow additional attendees until December 1, but we encourage you to contact us regarding cancellations as soon as possible even if it is after the December 1 deadline.

How can I get graduation announcements?

Graduation announcements that can be sent to family and friends can be ordered through Balfour. Please note that for the Bachelor of Professional Studies degree, you will need to select "Other" (it will be the first choice in the drop down menu) and type in the correct degree information.

Where can I get Berklee merchandise?

The Berklee College of Music Bookstore is located at 1090 Boylston Street, Boston, MA 02215. The bookstore stocks college workbooks and textbooks, and Berklee merchandise, including clothing and other gift items. For more information, store hours, and accepted payment options, visit the Berklee Bookstore website: berklee.bncollege.com.

When will I get my diploma?

Diplomas will be mailed to the address that you included on your graduation application within 6-8 weeks of the time that you complete your degree requirements. Please keep in mind that instructors have up to two (2) weeks to submit final grades after the term concludes.

How do I participate in the commencement concert?

If your 2022 application is received by the December 1, 2021, deadline and approved by the Graduation Team, you will receive an email in early February 2022 with detailed instructions—and a submittable application link—to formally apply to participate in the Berklee College of Music commencement concert. There will be opportunities for performers, arrangers, and track production assistants within the concert, which will pay tribute to the music of the honorees.

What are the current COVID-19 protocols for attending the commencement concert and/or ceremony?

These protocols are subject to change.

Everyone attending Berklee College of Music's May 2022 commencement concert and ceremony will be required to follow the Agganis Arena COVID protocols (protocols are established by Agganis Arena, not by Berklee). We suggest that students and guests review the Agganis Arena protocols on a regular basis.

Everyone entering the concert and/or ceremony must show a government-issued photo ID that clearly states their name and date of birth, or present a Berklee ID.

Berklee reserves the right to take additional measures to ensure the safety of all attendees.
