Performing, writing, or producing music without ear training and a firm understanding of music theory and harmony is like navigating without a map; you may still get somewhere, but it may not be exactly where you had hoped. This music theory certificate program will help you gain a professional command of the mechanics behind most of the contemporary music that you enjoy. Armed with knowledge of scales, intervals, chords, and arranging techniques, you’ll apply concepts to your own work and your musical choices will become more intentional as you hear things in music that you never heard before.
