James Love

Jim started with the School of Rock in 2006 as the Music Director of the Fort Washington School. In 2015, he was promoted to the role of General Manager/Music Director. His leadership helped Fort Washington become one of the top performing schools in the system. His unique experience as both a MD and a GM in a single franchise owner school, a multi-unit franchise owner school, and a company-owned school make him a valuable asset to his schools and to the company. In 2018, he helped organize and produce Kids Rock Philly, a Philadelphia-area SOR Festival that helped raise over $20,000 for inner-city school music programs. In October of 2018, Jim joined the corporate team as the Director of Operations for Schools in NJ, PA, Ontario, and Australia.

Before joining the SOR, Jim was a very active performer, studio musician, Vic Firth endorsed-educator, and clinician. He holds a B.S. in Music Education from Elizabethtown College. He is primarily a drummer/percussionist, but also plays guitar, keyboards, and bass. He continues to perform locally and volunteers his time to provide music education workshops in public schools that have limited music resources
