Ezra Kruzich

Music Production, Music History and Liberal Arts, and Music and Wellness

Ezra Kruzich is a Boston-based educator, musician, and researcher whose work bridges science and the performing arts. He teaches Anatomy and Physiology at Berklee College of Music, where he developed Anatomy and Physiology for Musicians, Dancers, and Artists, a textbook designed to help performers understand the body as their primary instrument. Ezra trained in neuroscience at Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine and Boston University, and as a graduate researcher at Boston University he investigates the biological underpinnings of neurodegenerative diseases and mood disorders with the hope of developing efficacious therapies. In addition to his scientific work, Ezra has a deep passion for music. Having studied voice and piano since childhood at institutions such as the Portland Conservatory of Music and the University of Southern Maine, he has built over a decade of professional experience across jazz, folk, and contemporary styles, and performs regularly across Boston in both solo and group settings. His teaching emphasizes both rigor and accessibility, connecting technical knowledge to the lived experience of artists so students can perform, create, and sustain their work with greater awareness and resilience.
