Jonathan Feist is a publisher, musician, and music educator, who has been with Berklee since 1998, and was a founding member of the Berklee Online team. As editor in chief of Berklee Press for twenty-seven years, he brought hundreds of music education books, videos, and online courses to market. He is editor in chief and publisher of Orchard Fire Publishing <orchardfire.com>, which publishes a diverse array of books. Jonathan is the creator and instructor of Berklee Online courses "Project Management for Musicians" and "Music Notation and Score Preparation Using Finale” (2002–2025). He is author of the books Project Management for Musicians (Berklee Press, 2013), Music Industry Forms, and Berklee Contemporary Music Notation (Berklee Press, 2017) and the co-author of Essential Songwriter (Berklee Press, 2004) and The Berklee Practice Method Teacher's Guide (Berklee Press, 2004). He has also written hundreds of articles about music and other topics, published through About.com, Keyboard Magazine, MakeMusic's Finale blog, and Berklee’s TakeNote online magazine. He is founder and leader of the Gloucester Songwriters Circle. Jonathan holds a bachelor's and master's degree in composition from New England Conservatory of Music.
