Kirsten Richert

Kirsten Richert is an innovation expert who helps corporations, nonprofits, and entrepreneurs blend creativity and business strategy to solve problems and spark change. Kirsten received her undergraduate degree in Social Science from Hampshire College, her master’s degree in Education from Teacher’s College at Columbia University, and her training in innovation and business planning methods from SIT (Systematic Inventive Thinking) and ToP (Technology of Participation). Formerly Vice President of Product Management and Marketing at Pearson, the world’s leading educational textbook publisher, Kirsten oversaw the creation of breakthrough digital-first K-12 curriculum. Her corporate product management portfolio included Pearson’s music education programs. Now, as an innovation consultant, Kirsten guides change efforts for organizations as well as teaching on business management and new media economics. She hosts a weekly podcast on innovation and has co-authored a book published by Corwin Press called Shifting: How School Leaders Can Create a Culture of Change.
